IASL International Awards Programme

IASL/SOFTLINK ALICE SCHOOL LIBRARY AUTOMATION AWARD

Introduction

This award was made possible by SOFTLINK International (through Bob Dunne, Softlink's Managing Director from Australia). Softlink produce the award-winning school library automation system that is known as OASIS in Australia, Annie in the United States of America, Alice in the United Kingdom, and EMBLA in Iceland. In 1997 Softlink introduced their Windows based library management system, Alice for Windows, now known as Softlink Alice.

The award was previously given in 1995, 1996, and 1997. It was reinstated for the 2001 and 2002 conferences.

Each year, a school in the host country for the IASL annual conference received a school library automation system from Softlink International.
