🌟 International Book Review Exchange Project - 2025 🌟

Connecting students worldwide through stories, ideas, and a shared love of reading

We are excited to introduce the International Book Review Exchange Project 2025—a unique opportunity for students to explore new books, share their thoughts, and connect with peers around the globe. This project celebrates the joy of reading while promoting cross-cultural understanding.

By exchanging book reviews, students not only recommend their favorite authors and titles but also discover new voices and perspectives from different countries. It’s more than just a project—it’s a way to build a global community of young readers.

📖 Project Overview

The International Book Review Exchange Project brings schools together in pairs or groups, encouraging students to:

  • Write book reviews on their favorite titles or authors

  • Highlight literature from their own countries to showcase local voices

  • Exchange reviews with students from their partner schools

Through this exchange, students get a chance to learn about each other’s reading cultures, broaden their literary horizons, and engage in a meaningful celebration of International School Library Month (ISLM).

Facilitators—teachers or librarians—play a key role in guiding the process, ensuring reviews are exchanged, and helping students get the most out of this unique literary journey.

Message from the ISLM Chairperson

"Books are bridges that connect us, no matter where we live. Through this project, students have the chance to not only share their favorite stories but also to listen to new ones from friends across the world. Every review exchanged is a window into another culture, another perspective, another way of seeing the world.

I encourage schools everywhere to take part in this journey. Let’s inspire our students to read widely, think deeply, and connect meaningfully. Together, we can build a world where stories unite us."
