Platform Choices: Skype, MS Teams, Zoom These virtual teaching and learning platforms offer a unique opportunity for schools to connect globally using the platform of their choice. To participate, the responsible person must ensure all students can easily connect via Skype, Zoom, or MS Teams from their homes or at school.
Connecting Globally Connecting through these virtual platforms provides an exceptional opportunity for students worldwide to engage in real-time conversations during International School Library Month (ISLM). Students can learn from each other by sharing insights about their cultures, discussing their favorite books, and recommending new reads.
Librarians and Teachers Role: Librarians and teachers will need to initiate contact with a participating school from the provided list, considering feasible time zones for both parties. ISLM will not facilitate these connections. Instructors should arrange times for these interactions and prepare discussion topics and questions in advance for a successful session.
Important Dates: The deadline for registering for the 2024 Virtual Project is October 26, 2024.
