🌟International Book Review Exchange Project - 2024🌟

We are thrilled to introduce an exciting new initiative for students to explore, learn, and share their favorite books and authors with peers around the globe: the International Book Review Exchange Project. This project aims to connect students worldwide through their love of books, allowing them to experience diverse reading cultures and fostering a wonderful environment for book recommendations!

 📖 Project Overview

The International Book Review Exchange Project enables schools to collaborate with partner schools, where students write book reviews on their favorite books and authors. They can also choose native books and authors for this project. These book reviews are then exchanged with students from partner schools, creating a true exchange of literary knowledge during International School Library Month. Facilitators from both schools will ensure active participation and exchange, providing a rich, global learning experience.

 💡How It Works

  1. Registration:

    • Online Registration: Register through online spreadsheets and Google Forms. Ensure your email contact details are correct and current. Register your School Here:

    • Partner School Selection: Schools independently select their partner schools.

    • Language: The language of the project is English.

    • Coordination: Details of participating schools are available on the registration form to make coordination easier for school coordinators.

  2. Exchange Process:
    • Contacting Partner Schools: After registering, schools can contact their partner schools to arrange the exchange of book reviews.

    • Format and Medium: Schools can decide on the format (handwritten or digital) and medium (online or snail mail) of the book reviews.

    • Review Guidelines: Follow the guidelines for the number of reviews to be exchanged, as mentioned on the registration form.

    • Commitment: Ensure a fruitful exchange of work between partner schools. PLEASE BE SURE TO CARRY THROUGH ON YOUR COMMITMENT.

    • Important: Late registrations will not be accepted.

  3. Partner Coordination:

    • Responsibility: Librarians or teachers should reach out to a participating school from the provided list, considering the number of participants and age group requirements of their school. Note that ISLM will not arrange these matches. The respective school coordinators will be responsible for finding their partner school from the list and making all necessary arrangements for a successful exchange.
