Dear Budding Artists,

Exciting news! The International School Library Month (ISLM) is hosting a Poster Design Contest for 2024, and we want you to be a part of it! We're calling on talented artists from around the globe from age 3 to 22 to unleash their creativity and contribute original works inspired by the theme: "School Libraries: Community Connectors."

This theme opens the door for you to express your thoughts, fantasies, and passions about reading, libraries, and books through your creative posters. The winning design will be crowned as the official ISLM poster and bookmark, representing the profound impact of school libraries in connecting communities.

To ensure the integrity of the contest, we've provided some guidelines for your reference:

• Your creative piece must be entirely unique and handmade.

• Avoid copying existing ideas to prevent copyright issues.

• Please refrain from including Disney characters in your artwork.

• Acceptable drawing/painting tools include pencil, crayon, watercolor, oil paint, and more.

• No photographs, 3D objects, or printouts will be accepted.

• Submit your artwork and details using the form provided at the link.

• Make sure to scan your poster properly in high resolution, with no other objects visible around it. We recommend a minimum resolution of 300 dots per inch (dpi) for optimal print quality.

• The deadline for submissions is May 30, 2024.

In addition to your poster submission, we invite you to share a 2-minute video introducing yourself, your country, your school, and explaining the idea behind your poster and the message it conveys. These videos will be showcased on the official social media channels of the International Association of School Librarianship (IASL), and all participants will receive an e-certificate of participation.

Please note that all submitted videos may be considered for sharing on the IASL Facebook page.
