Hanna Chaterina George

Hanna Chaterina George or also well - known as Hanna Latuputty has chaired APISI since 2006. APISI is a non profit and independent organization. She completed both her Bachelor and Master degrees in Library and Information  science in 1995 at Universitas Indonesia, Depok and 2013 at Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung, Indonesia.

She used to be a school librarian in an international school for 20 years before commited to run APISI for full time until now. 

Her main interests in school librarianship are literacy & information literacy, including on how to develop these as school library programs in learning and teaching process. She produced an information literacy model for Indonesian curriculum schools called POLA LISA as a result of her thesis. APISI regularly conducts seminars and workshops in this field to where Hanna takes part as a speaker. She also speaks in many library events at national, regional and international level such as at Dublin, Ireland; Hong Kong; Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia; Bangkok,Thailand; Manila, Philippines; Astana City, Kazakshtan; Maastricht, Netherlands and California, USA.
