📚 International Bookmark Exchange Project

Join the Celebration. Build a Global Connection.

The ISLM International Bookmark Exchange Project connects schools and young readers across countries through the simple yet powerful idea of exchanging creative bookmarks.

Students create bookmarks in their own style, inspired by reading, books, libraries, culture, imagination, or the ISLM 2026 theme, and exchange them with students from a partner school.

The exchange is intended to be more than a postal activity. It is an opportunity to:

• 📖 celebrate books, reading, and school libraries;

• 🌍 develop international friendships and connections;

• 🎨 encourage creativity and student expression;

• ✉️ facilitate cultural exchange;

• 💬 develop communication and interpersonal skills;

• 🔍 encourage curiosity about other communities and cultures; and

• 🤝 create meaningful international learning experiences.

If your school has never participated before, ISLM 2026 is an excellent opportunity to begin.
