Participants have the chance to spend a full day in Frascati (18 km far from Rome, 30’ by train from Termini Station), and visit the town and its charming Villa Falconieri, the current venue of Accademia Vivarium Novum (https://vivariumnovum.net/en), an international educational institution that provides top-class courses in Latin, Greek, and, more in general, Humanities.
Overall programme: departure from the meeting point – lobby of Casa La Salle (07:50 am); metro A – Cornelia (08:00); Termini Station – train “Castelli Romani Line” to Frascati (08:54 am o’ clock); arrival in Frascati (09:24 am); a glance at Rome from the panoramic terrace; walk onto Villa Falconieri; esclusive guided tour of the Villa Falconieri (including the library, specialized in Humanities, Latin and Greek languages and culture) and lunch in its fantastic premises; walk to Frascati downtown for visits, shopping, “gelato” etc.
Those who want to spend the evening there may want to try a “fraschetta”, a typical local trattoria (some suggestions will be provided to the participants).
The online registration is mandatory and includes: 1-day regional pass (valid in Rome and Frascati for the whole day), exclusive guided visit of Villa Falconieri (including its library), lunch, accompanying person for the whole day, certificate of attendance.
